Why Norway Dominates the European Economy June 8, 2006

Posted by David Card in Media.

You’re going to have to get colleague Mark Mulligan to explain this to you. I’m just a humble capitalist. The Norwegian ombudsman, whatever the *&#% that is, says iTunes is evil:

“They are not protecting against piracy, but instead encouraging it,” Mr. Thon said. “When consumers cannot copy an iTunes song onto their mobile phone, they will get a download of it free from Napster.”

It’s been a few years since Napster was a pirate P2P file sharing site, pops. When Apple kills the Norwegian iTunes store, you’ll see what real piracy looks like.

But btw, where’s the correction about Napster from the Times/Int’l Herald Tribune? Thanks a lot, guys.
