No Worries: Youth will get their News October 4, 2006

A study from Indiana U — one of the best journalism schools — found that there’s about as much legitimate news content in Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show as in network coverage. Is anyone really surprised? (But that was before Katie.) So don’t worry, youth will be served.

    “Interestingly, the average amounts of video and audio substance in the broadcast network news stories were not significantly different than the average amounts of visual and audio substance in The Daily Show with Jon Stewart stories about the presidential election,” she (Julia R. Fox, assistant professor of telecommunications) wrote in the paper.
