I missed this one earlier. Rupert and Roger fire back in the FT at the Journal’s cover story. Fun reading. Apparently, running Fox News is like Dairy Queen.

FT: Is it like running a political campaign?

AILES: No more than running a Dairy Queen. You have a customer, you have to market it to help them get to your product, the product has to be good, you canít drop too many on the floor or in the sprinkles or youíll lose money. All business is basically about customers and marketing and making money and capitalism and winning and promoting it and having something someone really wants. If you look at the Dairy Queen model it pretty much works for almost everything. You know what youíre doing and you know who your customers are and if you donít drop too much ice cream, chances are you can make a living.

The duo’s comments about journalist elites and Amuhrican non-interest in international news ring true. Sadly.
