If Fox actually does this, it’s a great idea. (Yes, YouTube did it first.) Consumer-programmed professional content portal. Existing huge audience. Lots of new online video ad inventory. Self-expression by showing your faves like Jack Bauer and American Dad. Though probably not Bart Simpson, B-week. Or House, since that’s Universal; Idol’ll be tough, too.

    News Corp. (NWS) may soon allow members of its MySpace Web site to embed Fox TV shows and other Fox video on their home pages, marking a huge step toward generating greater revenue from the world’s largest social networking site.

21st Century Portals will talk about MySpace’s evolution to entertainment portal-hood, among other things.

Btw, does this count, as “consumer-fortified media?” Sorry, Pete, I don’t think that one’s going to catch on…
