At Least They’re Trying July 12, 2007

A Wall Street Journal story sketches how Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks unit has been marketing Big Champagne data on file-sharing to radio stations to help them program radio playlists. Unfortunately, the story doesn’t offer much compelling evidence that this is working. But it’s at least a sign of the industry trying out something new, and trying to harness the energy of the file-sharers. It’s tough to make anything useful out of P2P.
