Music Moguls Who Like Subscription Services September 2, 2007

Huh. Rick Rubin thinks subscription music services are the way to save the industry. And so does David Geffen. And apparently, Rubin’s operations chief at Columbia agrees. So how come MTV is the one working with Rhapsody?

UPDATED btw, I don’t mean labels should create these services or do joint ventures. We saw that movie already, and it went straight to the DVD remainders bin. No, I mean they should support services like Rhapsody, Napster, Yahoo and Zune, with artist goodies, access, promos, etc. etc.
